We have started a new area on our site that lists local VW shops and service in Chattanooga. The club gets all kinds of queries from people wanting to know a place they can take their VW for work, from a basic tune-up to a complete rebuild. So, we've compiled a list of places that we know of in the Chattanooga area that can provide that service. We're always looking to expand our directory, so please contact us if you have any extra info to provide.
The VW shops and service listing is online at: https://www.volksfolks.org/vwshops.
The Volks Folks have a big weekend planned. On Saturday, August 23rd we will be meeting in the morning at R&M Automotive for their grand opening. R&M Automotive Repair is located at 4533 Highway 58, Chattanooga, TN 37416. Rick (attack chicken on our forums) has promised us hamburgers, hot dogs, and drinks in addition to oil changes, tire rotations and balancing.
Then around lunchtime we will cruise up to the Riverpark in Chattanooga for the 26th Annual Greater Chattanooga Cruise In, an open car show put together by the Chickamauga Region AACA. Many local car clubs including ourselves are going to be there and they will have a German car section set up and will be awarding $250 to the club with the most participation.
We would love it if you would join us for these events, and we will keep you updated with the latest club happenings!
