Multiple news sources are reporting this morning that Volkswagen has selected our home town of Chattanooga as the site for its new US plant. The decision had come down to Huntsville and Chattanooga, with Michigan also considered but eliminated early on. The new plant could employ up to 2000 workers and could build up to 300,000 vehicles a year.
The Scenic City Volks Folks are proud to have VW come to town and would like to welcome them to Chattanooga! We have been discussing the development in our forums and we invite you to join us and share your thoughts. We will keep you updated on the latest news and announcements on VW's plant as it becomes available.
