Volks Folks Make the 6 O'clock News!

December 6, 2005

From our inception, the Scenic City Volks Folks have supported the Chattanooga Area Food Bank by collecting food at Bug-A-Paluza and by participating in the annual Channel 3 Share Your Christmas food drive. This year's Share Your Christmas was held on Wednesday, December 7th at the First Tennessee Pavilion in downtown Chattanooga. The Scenic City Volks Folks had one of our largest food drive caravans ever this year. Fielding Clark led the way in his Herbie, followed by a string of Bugs and Buses with a Ghia, a Jetta and a Eurovan thrown in for good measure. The Channel 3 News Team interviewed our Bug-A-Paluza Show Chairman, Herb Keedy, live on the air. Thanks to everyone who was able to take part in this year's event!

Don't forget that our annual Christmas Party will be held on Monday, December 19th, 7:00 PM at China Moon. China Moon is located in the Eastgate Town Center (the old Eastgate Mall) on Brainard Road. Everyone is invited! If you would like to take part in our gift exchange, bring a wrapped gift (limit $10 value). We will once again draw numbers and distribute the gifts via a "Chinese Auction." This is always a blast! We hope you can make it!
