New Yankee Infiltrator Here

« on: March 12, 2017, 11:20:51 AM »
Hello all,

Hopefully "y'all" will find it in your heart to welcome a Yankee to the group.  We live up in NW Wisconsin, but when I retire in about 7 years, we are looking to move to Tennessee.  We are looking around the Winchester area and will be down there at the end of April (2017) to scout the area with some help from some local real estate agents.  I'm looking forward to being able to use our VWs more than 5 months out of the year!!  At present, we have a 1972 Super Beetle we bought at an auction with a SLIGHT engine fire, a 1966 Dune Buggy and a 1959 Dune Buggy.  Our daughter has a 1973 Berry Mini T-4 Dune Buggy...

Welcome to the group! Things have slowed down here quite a bit lately.

Tennessee is a wonderful place to be! Winchester isn't too far. Check out Fundubs as well. They are towards the Nashville area.

If you were coming in early April, I would suggest you swing by our club's show: Bugapaluza (bugapaluza.com). Its a great time to get a feel for the local VW scene.

Would love to be able to come to Bug A Paluza, but we are just passing through for a few days on the way to Atlanta...worst case scenario, if we  do indeed retire to TN in 7 years, I will no doubt be able to make it (as a club member)!!
