If it's an automatic, and the shifting seems at all weird, just be aware of a tendency for valve body failures/ trans failures...
Most of the odd ball bugs were worked out by then, though.
And, I assume a 2.5?

I have a 2015 Jetta S and love it.
Get 37+ MPG on hiway and 32 average.
Manual 5 spd and 2.slow....
