I'm considering a 2012 GTI with the 2.0 Turbo and a manual 6 speed.  Anything to watch out for?

Nicks right , it has 25k miles.

Not apples to apples, but the '05 GTI I had with the VR6 was bar-none the fastest most exhilarating car I have ever owned. 1st day I owned it I put it through the paces, 2nd to 3rd shift at 62 mph @ 5K rpm. when I went 4th to 5th I was at 115mph @ 5K rpm I got chicken at ~125...
The car would purr in 5th at 105, I would look down and be doing 100+ MPH w/o realizing it, car was sooooo smooth.
You could be in high gear and doing 90 mph and it would push you back into the seat instantly when you punched it.  It didn't have the 1/2 second turbo lag my 1.8T does.
Had a moment of sanity and realized it was either a) going to get me killed, or b) going to get me a MASSIVE speeding ticket.

Thanks for the info.  The lord must have been looking out for me becuase unfortunately the car has already been sold.  I guess I'll go back to dreaming of my Porsche Cayman S.

     I still get sporadic calls from my previous involvement.  I just give them Nicks number.

Yeah, I was really hoping to get the GTI so that I could show up at BAP on Sunday 10 minutes before registration ends and ask to be parked next to my friends right in the middle of everything and whine and complain about when the judges where going to get to my car.  And then drive in and out of the show grounds like a maniac.  I bet you've never had that happen.
