Hey,

Fellow VW owners here visiting your great city from NH. We are 2 climbers driving around a gold and teal 87 vanagon. We plan on being in Chattanooga for another week of climbing and are looking to make some friends in the TN VW community. We are also looking for some help on diagnosing an issue we are having with the van and cant seem to find any mechanics in the area. I am trying to learn as much as possible about the inner working of this thing (as i am not mechanically inclined at the moment) so anyone that is willing to spend some time with me and talk me through it would be extremely helpful and appreciated.
Leah, our dog Vida and I are 2 months into a year long trip around the country. We dont have a lot to offer in the way of compensation for any help people are willing to give us, but we play music and make crafts. Hope to hear from you soon.
