2008 jetta ac problem

« on: May 25, 2016, 08:22:02 PM »
Hello, was looking for some help with my 08 jetta, I know there is some vw techs on here. I have read some other forums but no answers on the problem. Most all cars have the same problems at some time or another. It's a 2.5l what happens is the ac is delayed about 2 miles when it hasnt been drove over night or all day. If it has been drove during the day seems to be fine. I was a  service tech for gm and done ac work, I  read that it may be a compressor or the pressure control valve in the comp. I also read that these comp. run all the time and the pressure control acuates the comp instead. The system is different  then others, but as far as the cooling part is the same. Thanks for the help.  Or if you have questions

Always replace the compressor, I've heard the the valve can be replaced separately
