How can you tell if your Timing Chain and Tensioner need replaced?

If you don't know when it was replaced or if it has never been replaced, it's probably time!

Sal at S&P will probably chime in. I think they could handle it and he will know more about the specifics.

Which engine?

2.5?,  they usually throw a fault when they are worn out.  You can check the stretch with scan tool values

We just did a couple last month. You can get a rattle once the tensioner is weak. If it slips it will show a an increased timing value in the measuring blocks.
