Got the new tires and wheels on, freeing up the brake drums.  Got the majority of parts gathered, cylinders, shoes, lines, hardware, axle boots....

Cleaned out the fuel tank today, kinda...

Hosed out the engine compartment, after rat's nest removal of course.  Get the boots on and the tank in tomorrow.  Scott helped me haul the engine and a good trans in to work over the weekend (just in case)....

Closer to running all the time.   ;)

She's lookin' good.   8)

The fuel tank was a bit worse than i had thought,  Just got it back from the radiator shop, fresh and all coated inside and what-not.  Driver's side jalousie windows in and assembled, cleaned up a bit.  Starting to look like something that might move on it's own afterall.

So..... In between a full time job, full time dad, moving the rest of my junk from the old garage to the new, battling with welding and electrical problem bugs at the house... Been working on this pile a lot on lunches, before/ after work... trying to get it going so i can drive it for a bit before the weather gets too darned nasty.

Jalousie windows have been re-worked, but not made pretty yet, but they work now.  I have re-built the entire brake system, everything is new.  Single circuit master cylinder installed ($255 was more than i wanted to spend)  Fuel tank, Starter, engine reinstalled, working through the wiring now.... Going pretty smoothly, still not gonna be done this week.  I have too many things to do.   :(

I did almost take the tip of my finger off a couple weeks ago on a wire wheel on the bench grinder... and i injured my rotator cuff.... and hurt my back.. I need a different hobby.   :D

As she sits now...Actually, I have some painted grey commercial hubcaps on it now...

Got side-tracked last week, but i put a little bit of gas down her neck this morning, and the 2-year hibernation for the engine and 10+ year for the bus is no longer....

Running can now be checked off the list....  ;D

Hopin' so....  8)

Funny part is that i thought it was this past weekend, which had me aggravated.  But, now i know that it may actually happen for this bus and me.   ;D

Gettin there....

I almost forgot that i put the windshields in, but didn't have any nylon cord, so they weren't actually attached....  :-[

Installed both front glass panels, and the rear hatch window, waking up the electrical system.... headlights working, working on the tail end now.

I tried putting in donor front door glass frames from the bus i parted out only to discover that the frames and doors were evidently bowed like the rest of the van, so they wouldnt fit into the door shells.  Crap.  So, now i am swapping glass from one frame to another at lunch, and will get them put back in hopefully after work.  I might make Oktoberfest afterall.   ;D

A couple more pics....

More progress....

-- front door glass swapped over, reassembled, and on the bus....
-- taillights up and running.
-- rear apron on, bumper sorta straight (picked up a better one from KC.)
-- Dash reassembled with the new speedo head installed, nasty seat cover gone.

Just gotta get brake lights going and a generator charging, and i am good ta go.
