I am replacing right and left front bearings. Is that what you mean?

That's the left. I got both the hubs off and I'm gonna get new bearings installed. Got the left axle out too, and I'm down to the last bolt on the right. It's being real stubborn.

That bolt is a serrated(splined) isn't it ?  If it is be sure to really clean out the splines good and then tap your tool into it with a #1 tool (hammer) and try again . If it strip's out it will be a BIG vice grip deal.

Yeah it's the "triple square" and I have the right bit for it. I don't think it's stripped, I'm just having a tough time getting it seated down in there. I'll get it.

Take a small "pointy" thing and scrape ALL of the junk out of the bolt. Like I said Tap the tool to the bottom. Hold your hand on to the rachet to keep the tool straight in the bolt . Good Luck
Oh, be sure to take both hubs to Travis so he can press them into the bearings.

Finally licked that axle! I think it was stripped a little on the outside, but still had good threads all the way in. Just took figuring out the right position to give me enough room to get the bit in there with the ratchet, and I had a big ol' pair of vise grips clamped on the end to keep the axle from rotating. Finally with everything lined up, I pulled a Smelly Cat and yelled "By the powers of Mordar, release thy axle" and gave it a good turn and broke it loose.

I was out at Village on Friday but I got there too late for Travis to press my bearings. My friend Perry looked at my bad hub and said it was not reusable, so I will get two new hubs too.

And the "triangle" expands its borders across the county line into the edge of Ringgold!   ;D  From there it's just a short trip over the state line and we'll be laying siege to a certain hill in East Brainard . . .  ;D

But we have a Dasher!  We'll sneak it into the steet in front of your house during the night.  When the sun comes up, all we'll have to do is wait until we hear the shoot'n stop.  I figure if there's a Dasher in site and you aren't shooting at it, you must be out of ammo!   ;D

Boy that would be funny! Open up a gift and there is the title to it!

You think it'd be better than the Justin Bieber CD?

How in the world could you sneak a Dasher anywhere ? The tow chain would make to much noise.

Are you sure the Yellow plastic chain wasn't  really Crime Scene tape ?  Being that close to a Dasher I can see how you could make that mistake but it would have been the proper thing to do seeing how a Dasher is indeed a crime scene.
