Replaced the expansion tank with one you can actually see through, the old one was so crudded up with junk. Also replaced the last two coolant hoses, hopefully no more leaks.

Godfather, I'll take that as compliment from you ;D

Travis, I got my bearings and hubs in...if you're not too busy, can I bring them by this afternoon? I think I can leave work a little early today.

More than once I have stated that it is my belief that you can't put wiper blades on a diesel without getting oil on you....  :D

We're getting closer...I stopped by Village today and Travis pressed in my new bearings and hubs. I got to work tonight and my driver's side axle boot on the trans end came off. It's supposed to be pressed into the metal cap and it looks like it didn't get fitted on there good. Also, the splines seem a little big, it won't slide into my hub on the other side. Called Auto Zone tonight and they have one in stock, so they agreed to swap it out for me.

Thanks again Travis!

Your welcome,  I try to take the axles with me to auto parts store to match them up from past experiences

Hard part's done, both axles are in and the parts are back together. My passenger side caliper wouldn't compress easily and the boot looked a little messed up, so I opted for two new front calipers. I don't like to take chances with things like brakes.

Why spend money on brakes?  You only need them when you stop.   ???

Fixed! I finished up today, got the brakes bled and wheels put on and took it for a test drive. It drives like a brand new car except for the alignment which will need to be set now. Initially I drove it out the driveway into the neighborhood, and it sputtered and died. I'm thinking it didn't have much fuel and it must have leaked out the injection pump while it was sitting in the garage for so long. I freaked out a little cause I knew diesels don't like to start again if you run them out of fuel. I ran to the store and got a gallon of diesel, poured it in the car and thankfully it started back up. Drove it around and then up and down the interstate and I think it's pretty good.
