The hoover bit?

I'm not usually one to criticize writing, but close to complete sentences help get the idea across. That was kinda tough to follow.

put 2 new front tires on the thing today, the fronts were very dry rotted but i noticed a big bubble in the inner side wall so i got some new tires and figure out how to balance the centerlines with my adapter plate, i had to make some studs so the lug nuts would fit, the rear had already been replaced and just needed balancing, i bet the thing will ride better now

Left the key on the thing at the show and it would not start, towed it home and filled the points and it was ok,  now it idles better and drives better,  but I did eyeball adjust the points,  I was wondering if this would damage the motor with the points being open to far?

Any time you mess with or set the point gap the ing. timing will change. Set them right and re-set your timing. It doesn't change a whole lot, but it does change it.
