Does a thing use the same filter as an early bus / ghia?
Just curious.

got the carb rebuilt and on, new fuel filters, new fuel pump,  starts and runs, but have not attempted to set the idle yet,  replaced the valve core on the tire that is flat ever time i try to move it,  we will see if that holds air, and got the air cleaner on, had been driving around last year with no air cleaner, goal is to make this thing a nice weather/daily driver.

no bus, i like the split windows but at 6'4" i kinda have to fold up to get in them.  You would need a 69 chevelle or a 50"s american car to get rid of the thing

got the tire fixed on the thing i hope, now to change the oil and figure out why it is full of gas, thing i am going to clean the bottom of the fuel pump and leave it off and put some gas back in,  could i use a vaccum tester to see if the pump will hold vaccum?  also i have a tester that produces pressure,  wonder if i took the top of the card off and held the float valve closed if i could test to see if it would hold pressure

I begining to question the fuel pumps out there. Seem that a lot of people are having a problem with gas ending up in the crankcase and the most of them had just replaced the pump a little while back.Hmmmmmm . ??? ???

I'll take a used German pump out of a junk box at a swap meet over a brand new in the box pump from South America or Asia any day of the week.

I think I've figured it out!  We're just hooking the pumps up backwards.  The old pumps "pumped."  The new ones "suck!!!!"
