The wheels went back on the thing today, i was having problems bleeding the brakes, i did not bleeb the master before i put it on,  we rolled it 2 car lengths to get the driveway revamped.  the goal i to get it in the garage by the weekend so i have a warm place to work on it. no power and no brakes on a hill makes that a little bit of a challange 60 days or less to have her road worthy,  maybe if i go ahead and get the insurance for it the would get me moving on it

Of course, if the weather doesn't straighten up, I may not make my intended deadline.   :?

When it's 20 degrees outside, don't really feel like doing much at all.

Got the brakes finished and bleed this weekend,  cleaned the grossness out of the interoir,  fired it up with the gas tank and new fuel filter started to run backfired and blew out the carb gasket becuase one of the studs stripped out of the carb.  now to work on some of the lights,  this thing has been sitting for over eight years,  i think i will also put the tag on today as some motivation, should be driving by next week

Thing is looking better all the time, worked on a little wiring and tightening every thing up for the cyw show,  drove it home got a pizza and let it stall on gadd rd,  cranked and cranked till the battery was weak and was finally able to get it rolled off,  then took it the parts store,  was fine,  then this am went to start it in the garage and it did not want to start and the battery started dragging,  i had and interstate in there but it would not fit under the seat so i had charged an old one up,  may be time to break down and buy one.  Was suposed to take it to the insurance co today to get pictures,  kinda thinking about driving the 67 beetle up there.  did get the dash lights going and the speedo going,  sorting out some of the wiring i hooked up everything for the gas gauge, took the sender out it was crusty,  cleaned it up a bit,  still no gas guage working.
