I didn't see any blocks at the axles, or blocks under the body mounts...
It is a little rough around the edges but has a new alternator, radiator, carburetor (oem), fuel pump and some heater hoses. clutch seems good, and a lot of bolt on stuff on engine seems to have been replaced, as well, the exhaust is also brand new.
Dash is pretty hosed, there are some issues with the lights (on when switch is on - no high beams), and some of the gauges are not working. Some of the sender wires are broken and I will need to get wiring diagrams for it and remove some of the creative wiring that a drunk, blind, Redneck put in.... I'll get it back to Stock as close and then make sensible additions to the wiring.
Currently I have no high beams, but if I put the lever to High Beam position and turn off the key the engine continues to run (took a minute to figure that one out...).
Blower doesn't work, AC stuff is there, except for the idler pulley / Belt.  Compressor isn't locked up and clutch seems not to drag. All in all for the monies I have in it the truck works pretty well. Gonna work on it over the rest of the fall so I can have it done for winter.  I cannot seem to get the heat to cut all the way off either.

Nick, I would love to get that manual from you, the only manual in the glove box was for a 1991 sienna mini van....

It looks like small blocks in the front,  they can also be lifted by adding leafs or longer shackles or a combo

No Shackles, The blocks at the front of the springs look OEM.
If they were added, it was not by the same person who did the wiring under the hood or they would have used JB Weld.... Newish looking U bolts at the springs, so I have no idea how it was lifted.  It obviously has been, but I just do not see the usual suspects.  I have had a CJ2A and a '77 Daisy Duke Golden Eagle growing up so I am familiar with some of the lifting methods.

OK, Albert Left on the back of a trailer yesterday evening headed to Sand Mountain and a Father and 2 sons who already worship the ground it drives on. I feel much more better about selling it to someone who literally fell in love with it at first drive. I feel VERY confident that the buggy will be pampered.
I was sad that I couldn't give him the love he needed, but I just cannot own an open top car, and with the season winding down, I am glad I got almost all my asking price for him.
Gonna get the Garage rearranged so I can put the Thing in there this weekend.
Almost ready to start the 1700 T4. Gonna be tinkering on the ghia soon I hope.
Any one ready to help me pull the body off the thing?
Any one?
Any one?
LOL.

I am SOOOOOOO stoked!
I am going to pick up a 1969 Ghia Vert!
Picking it up tomorrow.
I have promised wifey that the Other Ghia and the Thing have to go.
Any one interested in a running, moving, stoping Thing project with lots of spare parts?
$3K. I'll post up an ad.
Any way here are some photos from the seller:

It has a brand new top and comes with a new boot as well.
The interior of the pink ghia will be sacrificed to get this one a dash and seats, etc. (It has a black interior, so SCORE!).
I feel that me and this Ghia are going to have a long relationship.

I am planning on culling the herd down to just this one car, it will live in the newly acquired space in the garage when not being driven. That is a first for me, only Albert has ever been a garage car, and it was out of necessity.
I will be liquidating the other Ghia I have as well as soon as I get the stuff I need out of it. I have an offer from a member here and another offer from a guy who wants to look at it tonight. So I am pretty sure the Ghia is already gone...
I do plan on keeping the 1500 SP with low mileage I kept from the '70 bus and the 1700 T4 engine I bought from Nick as spares if a engineless bus shell pops up, but that will be about it for the spare parts I plan on keeping.
Got the Truck insured and tagged, so I will be bringing a load to the Swapapaluza next month. and if the Thing has not sold, I'll have lots of thing only spare parts to sell.
(and maybe the thing itself...).
So Stoked.

Looks nice except for the shotty pan replacement... Paint looks really nice. Can't wait to see it.

Will you have it at the cruisein next Friday?
