Casey . . . just in case I forget, I've got a piston/cylinder from Nick in my truck.

Instead of painting the Ghia green, why not paint the bus pink?

Wanted to post this here since I was totally hijacking the other thread....

Tell me more about the diesel.
Pulled out of a barn, verry little if any rust, some dings.
Interior is great (red), Body is white, it's a 4 door.  may need alot of things, but I know it'll have to have a Head, intake, and exhaust mani's (all MIA).  It is just something different and I'm planning on running it over the summer. It is an AC car.
I am liking the Wabbit Vert more and more and am glad I didn't trade it (yet.)
It was a great drive yesterday.  I still have a vaccume leak somewhere and I am thinking of going with a Carb set up if I cannot get it straightened out soon.

Unless you are a master VW diesel tech you need to get a Bently manuel. There are things you will need to know how to do. I have built a lot of those diesels and you can not fudge on anything.

Funny you should mention that, I scored a bently for the diesel MK1 rabbits at McKays over the weekend.
Score!
It may be a wreck that'll never run, but engine is free and clean.

I like it! Almost bought a blue Mk1 4 door rabbit diesel but I opted for the Jetta.
