I saw those earlier.
Getting them home would be a chore.
I am thinking about it though...
Hey Zen, wanna go get some AL VW's with your truck again?
LOL.

I called the guy yesterday.
I am going to go and look at them, they have been open to the elements since April's tornados.  He stated that they have not ran in 1-2 years, so getting them started may be an issue ans some one has stolen some pieces off one of them (wheel / tire etc...)
Do you have any way to haul them.
I am interested, but getting them here is going to be a pain.

I have a truck . . . Mike Jackson out in the PM Dept. has (at least, had) a trailer that would haul 1 at a time.  It has a home made winch powered by a 6 volt VW generator running as a 12 volt motor.  It's not fast, but as my late dad would say "it will pull hell off its hinges."  Pick a weekend that Joy hasn't made plans for me already and let's head west!

Zen,
You are a true friend.
I will attempt to find another way, but I'll keep you in mind.
Thanks,
KC

I have committed to purchaing a 1974 transporter.
that will take all my reserve cash. I am trying to piece together enough $ to get this as well, but it'll be december before this happens.
If you want to contribute $'s to the project it'll happen sooner, but still not for 2 weeks.

LOL, I had forgot about you...
This one is supposed to run, but I have not heard it.
I am also trying to parse out my funds to buy a 1971 T3 Squareback.
LOL,
Tis the season to stock up on projects for the next spring and summer's sale-a-thon....
-On a good note, I did drive the rabbit vert a little this week, I have a curvy heater hose that is leaking and I need to replace, ( all the hoses are toast) so IU am going to replace them all.  AutoZone has all the hoses, but they are 7.99 - 9.99 ea - ouch.
So, I hit my trusty internet site that has CHEAP good stuff,(used it alot on airooled) and wow, it had all the hoses for the Wabbit (Wolfsburg Rabbit).  Prices were $1.49 to 7.00 ea. I got ALL the hoses, a new timming belt (continental) and a German tensioner and the valve cover stuff for like $58 and got free shipping and no taxes.  As much as I like my FLAPS, the hoses were going to run me like $120 plus for all of them.
Soooo, next spring I'll be tooling around in my Wabbit with the top down (assuming I haven't sold it by then - LOL.)
That is the update for the fleet, -Capitan KC out.

Ok, I know a guy who knows a guy who might be willing to hook you up.  He has an extra trannie, but I am not sure if it is a 4 or 5.
