Hey everyone....this is my first post here! I'm with Chicago's Harsh Winters VW club and the other member of our club who will be cruising down to your show.....definitely looking forward to it!

I finished my ride in 2005 and have been enjoying it every chance I get.

Thanks guys..... Yeah, I'll be driving her the 10 hours or so.  Even when I realized I was going to bring her back to this level I still knew she would be a driver and look forward to all those little rock chips as I drive her around the country, windows down with a big stupid grin on my face.

Here's the sign a stick in the ground at shows.....it strikes some people the wrong way, but I still respect everyone's right to enjoy their hobby the way they want to.  This is just how I roll.

Beautiful '64...
To clarify for David, this car is the opposite of crust-tacular.
Look forward to seeing you down here for the show.

I belive you Guys will have a lot of fun now that all the Hound Dogs are getting sassy(looking for fresh meat), got new "wires" on the Banjos, got the muzzle loaders stoked up and most the roads  re-graded

Have you seen the movie Deliverance???
That's it, I'm bringing the AR-15 just in case
I'm sure we'll enjoy coming down and meeting all of you. You know there's just not enough VW show's in the area when you're traveling 10 hrs. Of course it has to be an important show also!!!

Saw the movie years ago when Bert Reynolds still had his real hair. I have been all over the rual South when I was playing in a Bluegrass band and hung out, camped out  never saw anything that even came close to what Hollywood depicted the South to be like. These mountain folks are the greatest people in he world. Honest and a friend for life when you don't jerk them around. Belive me I know.
I don't know where the term "Dueling Banjo's" came from. There was one Banjo and one Guitar playing on the sound track by a couple of Yankee boys from New York or New Jersey I belive.
You don't need your AR-15 . A smile will do very well thank you. Just kick back and enjoy yourselve.

Joe, By the way,I think a lot of Deliverance was flimed on the Chattahoochee River about 90-100 miles to the east of us in Ga. Its a good thing that Hollywood brought their own flim Stars. If they had used local talent I think the movie would have been more like 1 1/2 hours worth of "The Waltons" watching John Boy going through puberty and Grampa getting arrested for stealing from the school board

I belive It is only fitting that when Big Joe and Eddie show up at B-P9 that the S.C.VW folks present them with potted Kudzu plants to plant back home.  After all they did beat us up during " The War of Northern Aggression" and its only fitting that we return the favor. Kudzu can be far more help than any army can.

I'm certain that a few nukes will get you some friendly Kudzu in return as well as the whole blinking 12:00 light several years back on the ole VCR. We should definetly send it up north, wonder if it wil grow there? Only one way to know for sure.
