Travis,
I use 100% pure Silicon on my wipers, it seems to last longer and is more water resistant than the 3in1 oil I was using.

I tried using some lube on the speedo cable and have not noticed a change,  it was running funny and idling bad,  found the plug had fallen off for the vacuum advance port in the intake

I think a Late Super Sppedo will fit in the hole.
This frees up the other 2 holes for a tach and oil pressure guage.
Just saying.
Super speedo's are easy to find and are newer...
You have to change the mounting on the back though.

I guess you sold it? I just heard about what happened at Bugapaluza to your former ghia... That is unfortunate.

My family and I had a GREAT time at Bug-a-Paluza this year, loved ALL the VWs, bought parts, gathered ideas and knowledge, t-shirts, food and best of all..... got to drive my 4 days owned 1971 Karmann Ghia. I decided to stop by BiLo Ringgold on way home and had a little problem when leaving.///////////// Hopefully we will be able to rebuild and we will give it another try for Bug-a-Paluza 18.. NOTE : ALWAYS HAVE AN EXTINGUISHER , MAYBE TWO

That must have been before the fire trucks showed up, because when we drove by there was a lot more fire than that  :-\
