1968 Berry Mini T

« on: December 27, 2014, 09:34:47 PM »
I picked up a buggy body today off craigslist. It turned out to have a tag under the rear area that said Berry Mini T with a body number and 1968 on it. From what I understand, they are only to be placed on a Balljoint frame because of the shock towers. I will have to fix some cracks in the fiberglass and probably refinish it. The pan requires 14-1/4" shortening and then relocating the pedals and shifter because of the seats being so far back. It will also need a windshield and a top (maybe).

I'm not sure what the exact plans are but it's now in the queue.

And apparently my friends will take photos of me wearing a buggy body like suspenders.

Have you given any thought to a Berren Buggy tube frame?

Nice find!  Those are cool looking buggies.

I did. Until I saw the price!!!! I can do a lot with that amount of money....

Doing some research, it appears they made them from 1969-1971. Mine is a 1968? Not sure how that works but it is apparently pretty rare. I'm excited but I needed another project like I needed a hole in my head...

Where on the body is that ID tag located?  My daughter has the Berry Mini T-4 (used on a full sized VW pan).  I'd like to check and see if I can find out our serial number!!
