We tried purchasing a sliding door guide back in October from Bus Depot.  It was on backorder for 3-5 weeks when we made the purchase. It is now January and they are still saying all of their suppliers are out of stock and no other online parts dealers have any either.  This one tiny piece is holding up our entire process of finishing up of Westy in order to sell it this spring.  Does anyone have any ideas or have a spare part lying around? It's for an '83 aircooled.

This is what we are looking for.  It's part #30 in the isometric photo (don't know why it's  sideways...I can't figure out how to rotate it back in the post).

I was hoping it would be a simple part that I could make but that looks like it has a socket for a ball to fit in.  Sorry I could not help but I hope you find one.

That part just screams 3d printer to me.
I know that The library in Dalton has a free 3D printer available if you sign up and buy the materials there.
I would measure the drack and the ball that went in the socket and have a patron make it for me for a few bucks...

I would troll the library, you have a photo of what the finished product needs to look like.
Measure the track width, and the diameter of the ball that it fits on.  You will need a socket, so you want it fairly tight.
Look at the library and pick a young millennial that is coming out and see if they want to help you. If you had an old worn out one it would be easier to visualize.

I would even ask the librarian who teaches the class on how to use and let them show you how to do it yourself...
If they are that hard to find, you could probably sell them on the samba for some overpriced amount...
