One of my brother's co-workers sent me an email about a couple of Beetles he has for sale. He's got them listed on Nashville's craigslist. He was a vendor at Bug-A-Paluza 15 . . . he was selling VW stuff (logos, etc.) cut out of sheet metal.
The first one is a 1973 Super Beetle for $999. He told me it needed some wiring and a fuse box, bleed the new brakes (new drum, hoses, cylinders, etc.) and put the tin back on the engine and re-install it. It also needs an alternator. Has a little rust in the common areas, but it looks great for the $$$. If you don't mind doing a little work, you won't get a driver much cheaper than this.
