1966 VW Dune Buggy on a Beetle frame.
Allyson Fiberglass Body Kit with tilt wheel steering.
This buggy was built less then 3 years ago.
1800cc motor with less then 2000 miles on it and 4 spd tranny.
This buggy is in like new condition and very fun to drive.
5000.00 is a steal for Dune Buggy in this condition.

Strangest looking Allison I have ever seen. If its an Allison , somebody has taken a saber saw to it big time.  His spelling is in question------ Allyson or Allison ??

Either way, it shows you aren't asking enough for yours.  Bump the price up a grand or two and advertise it on the Samba and see what happens.  I keep telling William the same thing about his 64 Bug.  If you put the price too low, a lot of people who would buy it don't even give it a second glance.

The antique auction Joy and I go to a lot in Summerville has a 1973 Super Beetle in their auction tomorrow night.  It's in black primer and has pre-67 style headlights.  They rarely ever have a reserve on anything, so it might go for cheap.  Then again, it might sell for 10 times what it's worth.  Anyway, if you are interested, you can see see some pictures of it (and all the other junk they have) here:  http://www.auctionzip.com/cgi-bin/auctionview.cgi?lid=1539906

1971 original paint deluxe   Price: 1050

1971 original paint deluxe; this bus has a nice patina look with some awesome paint fade; check out the fade on the roof. would make a super cool driver with little work.

some rust in front floor outters, battery tray, and lower doors.
nose has never been hit, lower nose is nice as well
roof and gutters super nice, rockers are nice as well as is the cargo door track;
sliding door opens and closes nice.
windshield is not broken or chipped, and all glass is intact. vent window rubbers look pretty good, still very usable.

this bus has both front/rear bumpers; both are really nice, custom rear trailer hitch ball!
rear apron is still intact

petal slash pan looks solid and is still there
headliner is really nice, should clean up well with some cleaner

i have an almost complete set of deluxe trim i will include with the bus. the only pieces i do not have are the corner pieces. the trim is really straight and not beat to hell, should polish up nicely.

spare tire and really nice spare tire cover are in the bus. spare tire area is dry and rust free.
all dash switches are still there and the og wiring looks to be unmolested and in nice shape.
front seats are there and in good shape, better than my first bus with custom bath towel covers
front mat and cargo mat are there and in good shape.
taillights and backup lights are real nice condition; front signals are average, but completly usable.
bus is missing front emblem, rear seat, and motor; i do however have the og oil bath aircleaner, fanshroud, some engine tin, and rear crossmember mount.
i will be cleaning house and will be adding extra parts as i go.

bus last registred in 1990; has nc inspection sticker on the windshield
no title, but i have the registration from original owner
a title can be procured with an emdimeny bond through an insurance company; cost is 100 dollars

rear bumper is SOLD price reduction

call doug if interested at 704 825 5339
i would be glad to answer any additional questions you may have
not super interested in trades at this time, but it never hurts to ask
