1974 Volkswagen 412 wagon - $500 (Chickamauga)

« on: September 21, 2010, 11:15:18 PM »
I ran across this one on craigslist and thought someone might want to save it from the scrap heap . . .

Today only, scrapping tomorrow. I listed this once before but the guy who wanted it never came to get it. Solid body and floor pans, ran when parked, needs new alternator which comes with it. Serious only please.

I have seen this car.
The car is in OK shape but has been sitting under that tree for A LONG TIME.
It has some body issues, mostly surface rust and I think that there was an issue with the door.
The engine looked OK, but I didn't try to turn it, because I felt an uneasiness when I was around it, could have been the Wasp's nests all over it, could have been all the bas stuff I have read on the net about them...
Any way, It was cheap then and I passed.
He was a motivated seller then, I bet you could get it for $300.
Let me know if anyone gets it.

I wouldn't mind parking it out back to throw a hammer at when i get mad.

Scratch that, I'll figure out another place to put it so it's not in MY yard.   ;D
