Village VW Oktoberfest Celebration

« on: September 26, 2011, 10:50:37 AM »
Our friends at Village Volkswagen are hosting an Oktoberfest celebration on Friday, October 21st from 6 to 9 PM. Plenty of VWs old and new will be on display to check out, and free food and drink. This will also be a chance to check out some of VW's new models, like the Chattanooga-built Passat and the 2012 Beetle.

Village Volkswagen is located at 6001 International Drive, Chattanooga, TN.

Had hoped to make a return to trip as a sort of anniversary celebration.  But, alas, I had to run over to Lowes yesterday at lunch, and while navigating the roads around Hamilton Place (some of the ones at Prentice Cooper are more easily traversed) I swerved to miss a large dip after seeing another car go into it, only to run directly in to a large pothole.  There was a loud bang under my feet and The front end of the bus is now sitting a few inches lower than it was.  It appears that the Craptacular Chattanooga roads have claimed another victim... at least one of my front torsion leaves....  >:(

I think it's great that we are giving big tax incentives to VW... it's too bad we can't save some cash to fix the roads so people who own them can drive them around in their hometown. ::)

I'll stop now.   :-X

I hear you, I hit a pothole so big on South Terrace that it gashed the sidewall in my tire. Had to get a new one. I wasn't even going all that fast (honest).

Bummer. I guess that's why they put two sets in there!

Maybe William or someone can find a replacement pretty easily down in Florida in a few weeks.

So does that mean you are coming or you aren't?

Megan and I should be there!

I am out.   :(  Amanda is going back up to Nashville either this weekend or this coming week.  Her mom had had some complications related to her cancer treatment, and she needs to go up there, so we have some stuff to get done tonight and tomorrow before she leaves out.

I'll just sit at home, stare at the bus and feel sorry for myself.   :'(

You guys have fun.

Maybe I would send a bill to his royal butt hole King Ron and a copy to the TV folks. I know the King will tell you to kiss off because he is to busy trying to annex the whole county and doesn't have time to listen to the little people but at least someone would know about it and maybe get a lot of other folks fired up or maybe we could get Nick and a Backhoe to put a few pot holes in front of his house.
