Ringgold 1890s Day Festival

« on: May 23, 2011, 09:41:56 AM »
Ringgold's annual 1890s Day Festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, May 27th and 28th. The event features over 100 food, arts, and crafts vendors, live music on multiple stages, music and dance contests, beauty pageants, a parade, classic car show, and a fireworks display Saturday night. Admission is FREE and all events are family friendly.

There will be a parade Saturday at 11:00 AM, lineup begins at 10:30. Then at 3PM there is an open car show in the parking lot at Ringgold 1st Baptist Church.

If you would like to do the parade, please reply so I can get an estimate of how many people and I'll go ahead and fill out the parade application.

Ok I was talking about the 1890s day parade, not the riverpark show.

We had a good day! Lamar and Cindy and I, plus Casey and his girls, arrived this morning and lined up for the parade. After that, we went to the 1st Baptist Church in Ringgold for the car show. Casey left his car there while they went to Lake Winnie, and I sat with Lamar and Cindy for a while after we ate at Richard's Restaurant for lunch. Luckily I had my canopy because it was pretty hot, but in the shade with the breeze blowing it wasn't so bad. After a while Lamar and Cindy left and I stayed a little while longer, then went home for an hour and came back at 6 for the giveaways.

I took home a 4pc. ratchet extension set, a $10 gift certificate to Park Place Restaurant, a windshield cleaner, some wire connectors, and a 32" flat screen. 8)

and a 32" flat screen.

It looks more like a 31.5" but I guess thats ok, considering the price you paid for it!
