isn't there a tow dolly about 20 feet away from the chalk bug?!?!?
I think so. But once the bracket is on and the lights are wired, towing it from now on will be super e-z. As long as the tires aren't flat. Putting the car up on that tow dolly alone is royal pain in the rear. Been there, done that.
I put a can of fix-a-flat in the one flat tire it had, bolted on the bracket, hooked the tow bar up and headed out with it. Oh, yeah, I didn't take time to wire the bugs lights up. I just slapped on a set of Habor Freight magnetic tow lights and secured them with duct tape. The first two miles or so went well. Then after I got on East Brainard Road, all #$@& broke loose. I couldn't get over about 20 without the car going crazy. That's not a good thing on East Brainard road at 5:30 PM. I don't think I made a lot of friends. So, I went in short, slow burst and kept pulling off to let the traffic by and finally made it to the Sonic around 6:30. I pulled in there and waited for back-up. One of the times I had pulled over, I took a look under the car and realized the problem is the right tie-rod has been cut off with a torch. At least, that's what I thought the problem was. When everyone else started arriving, I unhooked and went back to Kyle's and got the tow dolly. When we started to put the car up on the dolly, we realized what the REAL problem was. The bolts had fallen out and BOTH controll arms had fallen out of the frame head. The only way this car got as far as it did was through divine intervention.
