It started raining here in LaFayette about 6 pm . . . I left for the River Park about 6:15. It rained on me all the way there. I got there around 7:30. Anthony was already there in his Vangon Westy, and Feilding and Kyle were in Herbie pulling in just ahead of me. Nick and Megan showed up a couple of minutes later. The movie people were there and had some of their stuff out on the ground, but weren't set up. A snow cone vendor was setting up. We hung out for a while. About the time the snow cone vendor got completely set up, the lady running it finally got the call from her boss to call it off. Everybody packed up . . . and for the first time since I had left LaFayette, the rain stopped.
But then it started back a few minutes later. It was fun hanging out with the few of us that showed up, I didn't have to unload my kiddie car and I got home before 10, so I guess it worked OK. I've got two or three copies of Herbie the Love Bug on DVD . . . and one or two on VHS. I wasn't really there to watch the movie anyway.
