It rained on the Kansas and Toto concert last night at Chastain and they continued rocking. I can cross that concert off my bucket list! The last time I saw Kansas (at River Roast) the crowd waited outside through a hail storm! But that was then...

The weather looks iffy again Saturday. ???

Kansas Rocks - All we are is dust in the rain... I mean wind....
Seen them about 10 years ago in Chattanooga at the BBQ festival they used to have.

It started raining here in LaFayette about 6 pm . . . I left for the River Park about 6:15.  It rained on me all the way there.  I got there around 7:30.  Anthony was already there in his Vangon Westy, and Feilding and Kyle were in Herbie pulling in just ahead of me.  Nick and Megan showed up a couple of minutes later.  The movie people were there and had some of their stuff out on the ground, but weren't set up.  A snow cone vendor was setting up.  We hung out for a while.  About the time the snow cone vendor got completely set up, the lady running it finally got the call from her boss to call it off.  Everybody packed up . . . and for the first time since I had left LaFayette, the rain stopped.   ;D  But then it started back a few minutes later.  It was fun hanging out with the few of us that showed up, I didn't have to unload my kiddie car and I got home before 10, so I guess it worked OK.  I've got two or three copies of Herbie the Love Bug on DVD . . . and one or two on VHS.  I wasn't really there to watch the movie anyway.  ;)

That sounds like the worst attempt at movie night,  but we are 13 or more inches of rain above normal,  it has hindered a lot of activities this summer

Sounds like they should have stuck with the original date!

I'm just glad we don't have Bug-A-Paluza in the summer!  I feel for anyone who has been trying to put on any outdoor event this summer that has to be scheduled more than 3 or 4 days in advance.   ;D  We are right about on track for this to the wettest year ever recorded in Chattanooga.
