« on: October 21, 2013, 08:20:06 AM »
The EPB Southside Holiday Parade (part of the MAINx24 festival) will be on Saturday, December 7th from 11:00 AM to noon. We will once again be participating in this event!

Staging begins promptly at 10:00 AM on Rossville Ave in front of The Well (1800 Rossville Ave, Suite 8 ). We will all meet there to check in and line up.

I have talked to our friend at Merchants on Main at 607 Main St. They have once again extended the invite to post up at their shop parking lot. If this is something that we are interested in doing, I'll go ahead and confirm it with the owner.

I'm interested! I haven't been able to attend this event in a few years so I'm really looking forward to it.

I'll be there with my daughter and granddaughter.  Better dress warm, it will be cold and I understand VW heaters are not the best at these speeds.   ;)

I'm in. And I think the merchants on main will have pizza for lunch or we can eat at any of the vendors along the way. After the parade, we will make a huge loop around the parade route and enter back near where we started in order to get to our parking area. Be prepared for a long parade!

The parade is on!! Got confirmation from the organizer this evening via email. This is the forecast from the National Weather Service, which gives us a nice window for the parade:

Quote
Areas of drizzle before 10am, then a slight chance of showers after 1pm. Areas of fog before 9am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 47. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 10%
