I haven't made any hotel reservations yet, so...maybe? Problem is, there's not really anywhere IN Helen to camp (unless you count a parking lot).

Unicoi State Park is the closest campground, and it's 2 or 3 miles away from town.

Looks like I'll be ACVW-less for this one.
(at least one that runs)...
Was wanting to have the thing done, but that was a joke.
Ghia is still a dream.
So If I go it'll be in the Schwaggen.
(That would mean I'd have to clean it...)

That's where I was looking, too. Cheap for the water/electric 30 and 40 foot spots!

Dash plaques are in! These, along with t-shirts and other giveaways, will be available on the cruise.

Well that was fun! Probably around 25 cars made it for the cruise. A few more were picked up along the way in Cleveland. As planned we stopped at the Ocoee whitewater center for a little break and made it into Helen right in time for the Oktoberfest parade at noon. Then we met back up at the city park for a picnic before turning loose on Helen.

I wasn't sure where I was gonna stay but I talked to Julie at the Alpine Village Inn, where we usually stay. She had one room left with two twin beds and I was gonna split it with Fish and David. Then I learned from Leslie that there was a VW bus campout at a drive-in theater in Tiger, GA. About 45 minutes from Helen. I left the room with them and decided to check out the campout.

I'm glad I went cause it was a ton of fun! It was mostly Full Moon Bus Club and Georgia Dubs folks camping. There was probably around 30 or so campers. The movie was a double feature and they showed Despicable Me 2 and Mortal Instruments. It was a great time and a neat experience!

Here's photos from the Bavarian Run, I'll post some photos from the campout soon.
