The server suffered a hard drive failure last night, so unfortunately we have no site until the data is recovered. Hopefully it'll be back in a couple of days.

Can you fix up at temporary HTML page and send it to Travis to use until the server is back up?  It is the lostorbit server that crashed isn't it?   ???

Because of so many hits after our show coverage in VW Trends, I hope! :D

Seriously, what timing!  Sunday 9:30 AM-still nothing.  At least the boards are still open so I can bitch about it!

Well, Godspeed to the gurus working the site.  We've got a show coming up!

The server is expected to be coming online soon, and then accounts will (hopefully) be restored. We are up and running temporarily, without all the bells and whistles, but at least something is up.

I've been trying to come up with some alternatives for hosting to ensure something like this doesn't happen again. The best solution would be for us to be colocated here in Chattanooga, I can supply the box and run all the virtual hosting from there. Still waiting to hear from Mike if he'd cut us a deal or not.

I understand we can get hosting for free from Corey (Travis Keedy's friend), but I won't do it if I'm not allowed access on the server to make updates, too much of a pain that way and I'd drive Travis crazy with all kinds of requests each day to upload new things. Plus we'd lose cool things, like the Gallery.

Sorry for the downtime, I wish there really was something I could do about it. I had a lot of stuff up there that is also down, including my email.

I want to pat my son-in-law and my son on the back for their rapid response to my TOTAL PANIC experienced this past weekend over the loss of our web site at such a critical time. All I could see was DOOM and BP5 going down the toilet. Both of them kept reassuring me and they worked together Sunday morning and made something happen to get us back on the internet. I don't have any idea what they did but they did it and saved me from an extended stay in one of our local hospitals (Moccasin Bend..............don't say it, I know what you're thinking) When you see either of MY young men, give them a pat on the back. They both deserve it.

The server is back up, he's restoring accounts right now. Since mine starts with an 's' I'm sure it'll be tonight or tomorrow before it's ready. Once that's done, all I gotta do is upload the site again from my backup and everything should be smooth for now.
