You've probably noticed that the forums look a little different now. The old version of forum software was no longer supported with security or feature updates so it was necessary to upgrade it to the latest. New features include:

Responsive design to match the rest of the site
The new layout will scale to any size screen, which means it's readable on your computer, tablet, or smartphone

'Like' option on posts
You can now 'like' individual posts in a thread, just like you would on a certain popular social media site

New profile options
Add your Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter handles to your forum profile instead of stuff nobody uses anymore, like, ICQ, AIM, MSN, etc.

Better spam controls
We have always had a lot of trouble with spambots registering on the forums and the new registration uses reCAPTCHA, which will make it tougher, but also still make it pretty easy for humans to sign up.
