I just picked up my 67, Day before yesterday. 7/24/2017
Yep, had a Ford pickup and it gave up the ghost, needed a ride so called my dad. Who always has some type of extra vehicle or two or three,...okay, maybe more in his yard.
He is a Volkswagen guru in my mind. He has right now a Manx Meyers bug, Model "T" Kitted bug, and a Rail buggy with a 6 cylinder in it...all just sittin there, being ready to ride.
He also had this 67 bug, Told Him I needed some wheels. He said I can come get it, so I did.
Now, I cruise with the seat all the way back..Hey..I'm only 6'2" weighing in at about 3 and a quarter...I'm a tiny fella.
Back to the smiles. Driving along, up 75 and seems everybody, smiles when the see me pull up beside them. I love to make people laugh and smile...who don't? right? Well there are those who act like they're not amused, but secretly they are laughing on the inside...hehehe
This morning driving thru Wally World parking lot...a lady smiles and takes a pic of me and my 67. Feels good, ya know.
So, when ya can get them to smile, and brighten someones day..I say..DO IT!!...
