This past weekend, a few of us went up into the Great Smoky Mountains for some cruising and camping. Altogether we had 4 Vanagons and 1 bay window bus (me)!

From Chattanooga, we went up past Knoxville and into North Carolina, where we settled on a nice spot by the creek in the Pisgah National Forest. We also took a short drive up to Max Patch Bald, which had amazing 360-degree views of the mountains.

The next day we stopped for lunch at Big Creek and then crossed back over into Tennessee and found our way to Cades Cove. After staying the night there, we got up and did the 11 mile scenic loop.

All in all it was about 400 miles round trip and we had such a great time. I hope you like this short video I made from the trip.
