Don't know what he did today. Did you get your finger patched up?

I'm glad things went well with the PEX. You'll never go back except to make a connection. The shark bite fittings are a life saver. My only real complaint about them is that they choke the flow down a little bit and a small diameter change can make huge % change. They are a lifesaver when you can't get a copper pipe to sweat because there is a small trickle of water running through. So was Lowes pretty well sold out of everything?

Lowes had NO 1/2" PEX and a lot of empty bins in the connector section.  Home Depot had one 100' roll of red 1/2".  I think they had three or four sharkbite connectors left, after I got mine and there were 5 or 6 people asking for them as I was walking off.  They didn't have any small manifolds, so I just got some 1/2 PEX to 1/2 pipe thread fittings that screw to the wall.  I'll go back some day when the shelves are stocked and get all the stuff I need to hook up my workshop sink and the upstairs bath.  For now, we can wash clothes.

I'll bring your tools and fittings and the pipe to the planning meeting Thursday.  I used two of your cinch rings and two of the nail on pipe brackets and about 10 feet of the blue PEX.  It's got a lot of blood on the rest of it . . . I'll try to get it cleaned off before I bring it back.  Sorry 'bout that.  I told my brother to get me crayons for Christmas next year.  It was a small stab wound in the side of my thumb, but I've apparently got REALLY good blood flow to my left thumb! :o
