Cut-Away Steam Engine on Craigslist

« on: April 07, 2013, 09:25:47 AM »
Here's one for you David!

I need this almost as much as I "needed" a Maytag washing machine engine or another antique Singer sewing machine, but if it stays for sale too long, I might have to buy it.  It's only $100.   ;D

I have seen a few of these. Mostly used for class/training room demo's back in the late 19th cent. into the early 20th cent. More than likely worth the price. These things are getting very hard to find. This one shows the Stevenson reverse linkage and lever.

Maybe . . . you would need to find one that is a mirror image to that one.  Then you could weld them together, or in a pinch, wrap duct tape around them.  You could make steam in a pressure cooker.
