The forums are sure quite more than I have seen. Is every body breathing in and out ? I'm going to have to go down to the garage and do something constructive for a change I guess. ;D ;D

Same problem here, new house = no time.
I did change out the fanbelt on the '71 1302 last night, I removed all the shims and it was still too loose.

I had noticed that it was kinda dead here lately.  I'm thinking summer vacation = out of town trips.

I need to change the oil, adjust the valves (to what I do not know...), change the fuel lines / filter location, and adjust the brakes on the '71 before I can attempt to drive it enought to see if the tires are the culprut in my front end shimmys.

I also need to change the oil adjust valves and brakes in the '72 and the '70.

I plan on jumping on either the '72 or the '71 on saturday.
Wish me luck.

Valve adjustment most likely will be the same .006 -007.  Look where the rocker arms sit on the head. If the cast boss on the head is square (like your 1600 ) , the valves set on 006-007. Part # should start with a 113- 109 -??  or 311-109-??.  I doubt very much that you have the old "round boss '' heads which would set on EX-012, IN- 008.

He loves the History Channel, because he participated in most of the events that they cover.  He is checking for historical accuracy....  :o

Just kidding.
