Herbie Fully Loaded Toys

« on: June 18, 2005, 11:15:42 AM »
Who is looking for what, and what have you found and where and how much did it cost?

Here's some stuff I know of availble:

Herbie Zip Zap remote controled racers:  ($19.9?)
LaFayette Radio Shack had about a dozen of them on the shelf yesterday.  They have them in both frequencies.  The manager said it was their second shipment.  The first shipment sold out about the time they hit the shelf.

Johnny Lightning 5 car sets (matchbox/hotwheel size): ($9.96)
LaFayette Wal-Mart has 17 sets.  They come in a display box of 18 set, 9 of set A and 9 of set B.  They were there yesterday, and as of this morning, there was only 1 set sold.
Ft. Oglethorpe Wal-Mart had a couple of sets yesterday afternoon.  They are probably gone by now.

Johnny Lightning individuals (matchbox/hotwheel size): ($3.46)

LaFayette Wal-Mart has several of the Junkyard Herbies and Demolition Herbies left.  The other cars, Classic Herbie, Herbie's Girlfriend (Yellow New Beetle), and the Pontiac GTO Nascar car have sold out.  They were not they yesterday, so they are going FAST.
There were a few of the Yellow New Beetle, the the GTO and maybe a couple of the dirty Herbies (junkyard and demolition) at the Ft. Oglethorpe Wal-Mart yesterday afternoon.

Pull Back Toys: ($4.?? . . . don't remember exactly, but they are closer to $5 than $4)

Ft. Oglethorpe Wal-Mart had a few of them left yesterday.  No classic Herbies or Buses . . . the had a couple of the Black Nascar Herbies and several blue Golfs (at least I think that's what they were).

What I'm looking for:

1 Herbie and 1 Bus in the soft squishy big wheeled version.

One individual Johnny Lightning GTO.  If I get back to Ft. Oglethorpe today I might get one.  They had several of them yesterday . . . I didn't get any of them.  They didn't have a full set, so I just got one of each dirty Herbie.  I found the rest of them in LaFayette but they only had 1 GTO.  Now I need a GTO to complete 2 sets.

After that, I'M DONE.  NO MORE.  Just gott'a figure out how to raise the funds to get all my big toys out of layaway . . .  :idea1:

These VW toys are worse than any dope you can take. You can't come off of them "cold turkey" there is no medicine to take, and all the threats from your spouse don't make any difference. SOMBODY PLEASE SHOOT ME AND PUT ME OUT OF MY MISERY!!!!!!!

Dee and I went to Elijay Saturday with Angel in tow. Yes, Elijay has a Wal Mart. The rest is history and the credit card I had almost paid off has a bunch more back on it. :(  :?  ](*,)

Bugtech, Just thank of all of the goodies Herb & Zen could buy with all that money. Who knows Homer could have had a nice new shiny paint job by now. But I guess Zen could build some shelfs in Homer to put all these toys on with a sign saying I could have had a paint job.            [-X

Normal ?  I haven`t seen any proof of that yet. With Zen being VW toy JUNKIE with no hope in the forseable future, Smelly Cat trying to make the Pompeii Eruption look like a 4th July fire cracker with absolutly no hope at all, I will have to hold my opinion in reserve.  Hey Jason ,You might be the only one thats close to normal, but you are messing with VWs so I`m watching very closely

:-k

I have just figured out a way to make a fortune. I will invent and market a pill that helps control VWTA (VW Toy Addiction). I can open up a special clinic to help with the treatment. The pills will come in a Honda Civic shaped bottle and the pills will be in the shape of a H. I will have special rooms, such as:

The Honda Room, Mitsubisih Room, Ford Room etc etc. Each room will have special wall paper featuring scenes of happy people enjoying their non VW vehicles. There will be a disclaimer if you are in the Honda room stating that any similiarities between the Civic and the New Jetta is a pure chance of fate

The first phase of treatment will be the deposit of one VW toy to the administrator (ME). I will have lots of toys very soon!!! I can see the emails and letters now from the non VW spouses and loved ones.

Dear Dr. Moe (I bestowed it upon myself)

My husband (or wife) is so addicted to VW Toys. I think there is some type chemical put on the package that gets into a persons blood stream when they pick it up. Since my husband (or wife) first picked up a VW Toy ?? years ago, they can not go into any store without looking at the toy section for them. Please help them.

Mr. or Mrs. XXXX

As soon as I get the formula for the pills finished I will post the mailing address of the clinic.

LOL, I think the BUG is far too strong for you to stop;
besides, if you can still see over the pile of toys it's not
TOO bad...BTW, just this second watched Ms. Lohan run
over her foot with the large R/C Herbie; great promo!

Hey !! What a great idea.   The next step is getting you, Dr Moe, on Oprah to spread the word that there is help on the way. With her help you could get a Federal Grant and other donations. I suggest that the main offices be in the South Pacific on a island to be annouced at a later date and the clinic to be built in the LayFayette Triangle, where there would be no outside influence from the rest of the world. I can see it now.
A hundred years down the road people crowding the streets of LaFayette  leaping about in glee to witness the un-vailing of a giant bronze statue of
the "Zenmiester" mounted on a equaly impressive bronze rendition of "Homer The Super bus" with the eternal flame coming from you know where to honor he being the first to recover from VWTA by living in the Vega- AMC Gremlin ward.

Update:

There are still about a dozen of the Johnny Lightning 5 car sets at the LaFayette Wal-Mart.  There are also 4 of the individual cars still on the rack . . . 2 Junkyard Herbies, 1 Demolition Herbie and one yellow New Beetle (Herbie's "girlfriend" in the new movie).

I have sucessfully gone a week without buying ANY Herbie toys, even though I have walked passed these several times!   :)  Maybe there's hope after all!  I did buy 2 Hot Wheels bugs . . . but they don't count since they weren't Herbies . . . and they were WAY TOO COOL to leave on the shelf, even if you aren't suffering from a full blown case of VWTA!

Moe,  On the pills with the H in the Honda Civic shaped bottle, and the Honda Room at your clinic . . . I don't think US law would allow that.  Wouldn't that be considered "cruel and unusual punishiment" for someone with VWTA?

How about with Zen head-first in the engine compartment?

Or with his legs sticking out from under the back?

You should make the Honda pills taste like vanilla, for authenticity!
The Mitsu pills should taste like turbo-cooked oil (ask how I know)!
