That looks like a super cool book! I used to love making paper cars!
I've found several patterns for paper bugs and they are all tough to cut and fold and make them look right . . . but I found a pattern for a paper bus that super easy. They work ok on regular paper, but card stock works best. If you open them in a drawing program like Paint, you can even customize them. I can't find it right now, but somewhere I have a pattern for a paper teardrop camper that looked cool behind the paper bus.
