That one's a split window!
Most were. Mid-engine also, sort of.

Not legal on 99.99% of the tracks we could ride on.  There is one of those on You-Tube. It has a little Honda engine. Cute if you like grass and weeds in your face ;D

Kind'a what I was thinking.  At 40 MPH, I think I want a little more metal under and around me.   ;D

2 grand and a few hundred miles away, but it's a whole lot less rusty than most I've seen in this price range -- http://northernwi.craigslist.org/spo/3743571985.html

Here you go David!  If this one runs, I don't think you'll find a better deal!  Of course, you might end up with more in gas to go get it than they are asking for it.

I copied all of the pictures to my computer, blew them up 150% and brightened them up a little.  There is another, older looking speeder on a trailer beside the one that's for sale.  There is another vehicle in front of the Thing . . . it might be a Beetle, but I can't tell for sure. Behind the speeder and the hit/miss engine there is an old iron headboard and at least two railroad warehouse carts.  I've never met the guy, but I would say he has excelent taste when it comes to old rusty junk!

I guess you all are just shy.  I emailed the guy and ask if he was a vw guy because of the thing.  his reply---"Yup, 40 year collection of VW parts and pieces, used to race of road, started collecting every VW I came across, have about 50 pieces in the collection, mostly all parts cars, except for the two things. Jim"
bet he was born in the south
