Single Wheel Trailer

« on: October 30, 2014, 07:30:13 PM »
Nick (or anyone else interested) . . . C & C Estate Sales in Red Bank has a big sale this weekend.  Check out picture #90 at the following link.

I don't know if the box is original, but the frame is just like mine, and it has a receiver hitch.

If you wait until Sunday it'll be half price!  But, if it's priced right, it won't be there Sunday.  I can meet you at C and C at 8:00 and we can head to swap meet from there if you want to.

Travis was a pal and secured it for me!!! Matthew and I made it by around 10 and Travis helped us load it up. It was a bargin and I'm super stoked!!! It needs a tire and some other little things but it shouldn't take too much.

Woo Hoo!  I'm glad you got it!  I doubt either one of us would have found anything close to that cool at the tractor and engine swap meet, so I don't feel too bad about missing it now.

Look at the wheel's caster arms . . . do they have  "Trailcar, Chicago, Ill" cast into them?  The frame appears to be identical to mine.  IF you decide you need a bushing for the pivot, let me know.  Mine is "OK" for now, but it is worn.  It would probably be something that you have to get a machine shop to make . . . they might be cheaper if they were making more than one.

Mine has a bit of slop in it. Not much but it will rock on that bearing plate that it spins on. The pivot seems tight but I guess that's the spring. I replaced the tire and cleaned it out. It looks really good and might be the original box! I doesn't look too bitched up except for where the hinges were replaced. I need lights on it to ease my mind
