Rick,
Can you please let me know how to do this.
Is this the stud welders that I see advertised?
These look smaller.
Do what are you hooking to them to pull out the dent?
Thanks,
KC

Cool!
I always wondered how those worked.
I see me getting one of these to pull a couple of dents out of Kermit.

They work really well.  Basically the same as the whole "drill the hole, attach a pulling screw to the slide hammer and bang away"... just a lot nicer, neater way of doing it.  Not terribly expensive, either.

You know you want one, Casey....  ;)   ;D

I've seen paintless dent repair guys pull some big dents with the glue on kits like this:

I'm almost working too fast on this thing to have time to post....  :-\

Paint is gone from the rear quarter, and both passenger side doors... nice metal under there, with the usual concealed body damage, a few pinholes of rust, no biggee...

Pulled the outer handles (held my breath a little on the rear one... the inner door is pretty rusty on that one, as is all the hardware, but it made it off fine.)  The inner surface will get a coating of POR15 before I re-install the door components.

I managed to get the siezed rusted regulator out along with the window.  I got it freed up and rolling up and down beautifully.

Finally figured out why I couldn't pull the quarter completely out.  I have been staring at it for days, but didn't realize till last night that a section of metal in the door jamb above the impact spot (which on the driver's side leans slightly outward toward the rear) is actually pushed in just slightly.  That's my difference... 1/8" in vs 1/16" out is basically the difference between the quarter and door line.  Today during lunch I cut a relief line into the panel so that I can use my stud gun again to pull the quarter out the rest of the way.  The close proximity of the new job affords me an extra 35-45 minutes of work each day this way.  I like being so close to home now.   ;D

Finally got the quarter in the right spot (within 1/8 or less of the door line)... dents pulled from the quarter and the doors.... ready to finish up the inner rocker, strip the trunk and tail and turn her around to get the other side...
