Yeah, Yeah Yeah.,.....  :P   :D

Here's the summary version of what I have been doing on the pile...

Rebuilt the Detroit Style Ball and Trunion front joint, installed the one-piece NOS boot:

Disassembled the Rear NOS U-joint, cleaned out all the nasty hardened grease with solvent, cleaned the needle rollers, re-packed the joint and installed it on the driveshaft:

Checked the test panel against the firewall paint, pretty darned close, so I touched up the paint where it peeled and left the rest the original paint (og to you Nick  ;))... turned out really nice...

Cleaned up the carb, full of doo-doo, and the leaking seal around the accelerator pump was puking fuel out the top of the carb (generally, you want that to go in the engine...)

And, then, that brings us to today...

I was getting really close, but couldn't ever get it started, just some coughing, sputtering, all that, but no roar and rattle to life.... it was then that i realized I had actually set the timing off of the wrong cylinder...  :-[

I had looked at the order of the wires in the clips on the valve cover, not realizing that the wires for the #1 and #3 swapped places between there and the spark plugs....

A quick lift and move operation, and the next time I turned the key, she started to come to life.

Still need to adjust the valves (they're really clacky right now, I left them pretty loose after doing the valve grind)... A little carb adjusting, and actually set the timing, but overall, she's sounding and running great.

Here's the proof:

Brought her home on a roll-back one last time, in the garage (it's a hell of a lot easie to drive than push...  ;D)... got enough room to work one side and one end, then turn around to do the other....

She'll be shiny before ya know it....

Thanks, dude!

Got just a little time to spend on this thing on Sunday.   Pulled the front inner fenders and the radiator support back off.  Cleaned them up, got all the grease and grime and gunk off of 'em, painted the core support and hung it back on the frame.  Also, got the heater case and the fan motor housing cleaned up, shot a little clear on them to preserve them.... Hopefully finish up the fender liners up tonight and get them back on .  Once the engine compartment is complete, moving on to the actual body work.   8)

Jes.  Kinda...

NOS... New Old Stock (actual OEM, Mopar parts in this case)

NOS...  New Old Reproduction Stock (aftermarket, in this case Glo-Brite brand  Lenses)

Basically, these come up every now and then on eBay.... I paid $40 for the pair, which was a great deal.  There is a set of MOPAR NOS ones on there right now for $189.  Just like on VWs, sometimes the quality is not perfect, but, still fine for a driver.  These are actually really nice.   8)

I gotta keep ya up on the terms, man...  ;D

And, spanks... I was thinking I was just gonna leave everything under the original, then I put that shiny engine in there, and thought to myself "The rest of That looks like crap"   :D
Cleaned it up a lot.  Gotta paint that regulator, though.   It sticks out like a sore thumb.   :-\
