I just ordered enough parts to double my investment in this project. I've got a used breather, a new complete gasket set, a new correct 1/2" thread spark plug, a new crankshaft seal and a rebuilt crankshaft/crankcase heading my way. The next sunny evening after work, I'll tear it down and start cleaning it up.

I'll probably need some crankshaft shims, but I'll wait and measure my end-play before I start ordering shims. It would be nice to have a selection of shims on-hand, but at about 4 buck each, it's an expensive option unless you were rebuilding these things on a regular basis. Then there's the spark thing. It could be simple and cheap . . . or not. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the magnet and coil are both good. We'll see. Soon.
