I've been looking at these posts for a while. I really can't believe they haven't sold yet. I can't really afford another project right now, but I thought these were some pretty good deals if anyone in the club looking for such things.

$1000 wouldn't have covered the shipping from California....

It looks like a great deal for someone.  The biggest potential problem I see is the seller doesn't have the title.  If anyone on here buys it, have the police run the VIN to make sure it isn't listed as stolen in another state.

That's a pretty good deal and reading through the story, it sounds like the it might have just set up too long and a piston got stuck in the cylinder. Either way, it could be an easy bus to get on the road. I wish I had the funds...

Neat.
Does anyone know if the frame has to be shortened for an Aztec? or is it a long frame kit?

I don't know if any of you guys are in to super beetles, but if you are this looks like a good buy. I wonder why the seller would come this far on his project just to bail out?
